Death Doula Service Rates
For a sliding scale to work it relies on the principles of truthfulness, the respect for complexity, and on accountability. Community thrives when accountability is a central value, therefore there is no ask for income verification. Death doulas offer services and support those services with integrity. There is so much more than a simple transaction happening here. We recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist. There are systemic inequalities of class in our culture and the tiers of service rates below are here to offer a tiny bit of reprieve for those gaps.
We believe in accessible, high quality support paired with fair compensation for the time, expertise, and care we pour into this work.
The Green Bottle model has been adopted with our service rates for your personal, self selected, sliding scale model. This approach is based on trust and self awareness, allowing you to choose the tier that most appropriately aligns with your financial situation.
After the 45 minute consultation and if you decide to move forward with enlisting our death doula services, there will be a personal link sent to your email with specifics of your collection of care. After you follow that link, you land at the checkout. This is where you make the green bottle decision and select the highest tier you can reasonably afford. Your decision then helps sustain the work of Under The Root and Jennifer M Brown and creates access for others.
A payment plan is available at the checkout by using the option listed for Afterpay or Klarna.
