Eviction to Home on Wheels: Clove and My Journey to Safety

Our Urgent Situation

I am facing eviction and becoming unhoused with a deadline of May 31, 2026. After losing employment of 8 years and spending the last 10 months searching for solid work, I am now at a critical turning point.

My black cat Clove (6 years old) and I have a chance to create a safe, stable home by purchasing a 1984 Class C motorhome. We need help to make this the viable option.

I am raising $15,500 to cover the purchase, repairs, and essential upgrades so we can safely transition into full time motorhome living and begin rebuilding our lives.

The Solution - A Motorhome

A few weeks ago, I mentioned to a few friends the idea of a motorhome?? One friend and her mate jumped into action and found a solid option within a week.

We made a visit to the motorhome and did a test drive then I made an offer. This gentlman with the motorhome was a hardworking forest firefighter and contractor, incredibly lovely.

At this very moment, this gentleman is travelling and will be back this weekend.

What the $15,500 Will Cover

Right now, researching and investigating motorhome mechanics and structure, plus efficiencies for life on the road. I want to continue making handcrafted goods and offer death doula support services; additional small storage unit to safely house these business items is on the list until we can rebuild.

My business ran on numbers and budgets, receipts and paperwork.
Below is a brief breakdown for contributions.

Motorhome $4000
Title, Licensing, Insurance $500
Mechanical Repairs $6200
Structural Safety Fixes $3900
Basic Livability Upgrades $1000
Storage For Sewing Tools $200/month

THE FIRST MILESTONE: $7500

Rebuilding Through Art and Community

Three years ago, I began researching after the day job for a more balanced life that included death doulaship and psychedelics. I have been blending handcrafted goods with death doula support services over the past year. I am a volunteer with two organizations.

My work continues to be enmeshed within and among creative project areas for over twenty years. I am an artist with a background of dance, performance, designing and manufacturing hemp intimate apparel, plus as a production line lead.

Under The Root has been the name of my work since 2003.
